Our Ultimate Vision

The Dream

We choose to celebrate the rainbow in our story, Sage. His life at the intersection of Arri’s, is what allows us to do this work for others. So one day our foundation will give the gift of empowered birthing to families like us who decide to welcome another baby after perinatal loss.

The Plan

Other assistance we hope to provide for grieving families who have experienced neonatal and infant loss include:

- eliminating their hospital bills so they never see a past due notice (these "bills" can destroy a person's day [and life] if they are already struggling to comprehend their loss)

- engaging with national healthcare networks to direct families to our services

- collaborating with employers to provide more PTO for those who had every intention of using that time to care for their precious newborn

- partnering with other foundations so we may become a primary resource for families (with a focus on the Long Beach/LA area)

- doing our part in small ways every single day to help parents heal

The Method

  • Angela Brown plans to use her effective model as a springboard for childbirth education courses and Advanced Doula Masterclasses.

  • Collaborations with nonprofits like HERstory, Inc. will give us the reach to connect directly with birthing people.

  • A partnership with the Hypnobabies program will provide technical tools in bringing healing back to the sacred act of birth.

  • Birth centers like Kindred Space LA will become primary resources for culturally-relevant midwifery care.

  • The Levi&Toonk Baby database will provide additional maternal/infant resources to families.

  • Prenatal and postpartum care will remain front and center with practices like Bixby Knolls Wellness Center.

  • Breathwork group sessions led by Lavender Light will provide safe spaces for alternative therapy and spiritual growth.

  • Programs and events hosted by AKF will fund more research to increase positive outcomes.
